The closest you will ever come to being like Jesus in this life is when you respond to those who are hostile toward you the way He did with those who were so hostile toward Him.

- What is your first reaction when you hear or read Jesus’ command to “love your enemies”? Does anyone come to mind whom you would classify as your “enemy”?
- Read and discuss Matthew 5:17-48. Based on this passage, what should love and righteous living look like for a believer? How does looking to Christ help us to grow in these areas He mentions in Matthew 5?
