Rebecca Dawn Kwitowski – March 25, 1977 – February 25, 2025

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Rebecca Dawn Kwitowski, who went to her heavenly home with the Lord after a courageous 2 ½-year battle with a rare form of uterine cancer. She was 47 years old.

Born March 25, 1977, in West Virginia, Rebecca was the beloved daughter of Donald Elmore and the late Kathryn Sue Elmore. She is survived by her three older sisters, Allison Barker, Christina King (Keoke King), and Melanie Stepp (Ruffin Stepp). At age 10, she moved with her family to Wellington, FL, where she spent her formative years. She graduated from Wellington High School before attending Samford University near Birmingham, AL, earning a double major in International Relations and French.

On February 8, 2003, Rebecca married Jeff Kwitowski, and together they built a beautiful life in Herndon, VA, raising their four daughters: Cora, Sara, Alaina, and Naya. Rebecca was a devoted wife and an incredible mother—her husband and daughters adored her, and she was their greatest encourager, support, and source of unwavering love.

Rebecca had a heart for service and a passion for uplifting others. After college, she moved to Northern Virginia to work on Capitol Hill for a Congressman in the U.S. House of Representatives before relocating to France for a brief time to serve with a family ministry teaching English to adults in a suburb of Paris. Upon returning to the U.S., she continued teaching English to internationals with Oakwood English Language Institute. Later in life, she dedicated herself to Mosaic Virginia, a pregnancy resource center, where she volunteered for many years as an advocate and counselor before joining the staff to manage the parenting support program. Her compassion, wisdom, and tender heart left a lasting impact, especially on the women she served. Above all, Rebecca’s greatest calling was being a mother—pouring love, guidance, and faith in God into the lives of her daughters.

Rebecca found joy in life’s simple moments—sharing tea and heartfelt conversations with friends, relaxing on the beach, and snuggling on the couch with her family and dog. She loved to read and had a deep passion for the Word of God, which guided her life and brought her peace, especially in her final years. Her trust in Jesus—His love and sacrifice—was her foundation, and she faced her battle with strength, grace, and the assurance of her salvation and eternal home with Father God.

Rebecca was a light in this world—selfless, kind, and full of love. Though her time was far too short, her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and in those who knew her. While she is deeply missed, we rejoice with confidence that she rises with Christ, and we will see her again.

A memorial service celebrating Rebecca’s life will be held on Saturday, March 8th at 1:00pm at Reston Bible Church, 45650 Oakbrook Ct., Sterling, VA 20166, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rebecca’s honor to Mosaic Virginia, the ministry she loved and faithfully served.

Kim Yearick of Lovettsville, Virginia, passed away at her home on June 15, 2023.

Born on September 15, 1963, in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Jerry and Charlotte Fetterolf. She grew up in Madisonburg, Pennsylvania, graduated from Penns Valley High school, and Messiah College. She married Vince Yearick on May 10, 1986, and he survives.

Kim was a devoted follower of the Lord, loved studying the Bible, a faithful prayer warrior, shared the gospel with many, and touched many lives and hearts. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed growing vegetables and flowers to share with friends and neighbors. She loved the ocean and was always outdoors.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her mother, Charlotte Fetterolf, daughters Hannah and Rachel, sons Micah and Stephan, brother Andrew Fetterolf (Mary Beth), and her nieces and nephew Ricky, Cecilia, Scarlet, Heath, and Fallon.

Kim’s Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 1, at Reston Bible Church in Sterling, Virginia, at 1:30 p.m., with a reception following.
