Counseling

For those struggling or overwhelmed by the issues of life, RBC offers
several counseling venues.

RBC BOOKSTORE / Our bookstore offers a number of excellent counseling
resources. Please stop by between weekend services.

ELDER, PASTORAL, & STAFF COUNSELING / Counseling with a staff
ministry leader, pastor or elder is available but may be limited due to
ministry and teaching schedules.

LAY COUNSELING / The Lay Counselor Institute (LCI), founded by Dr.
Bill Clark, is a non-profit organization that consults with the local church to
maintain a ministry of care and counsel led by trained individuals.

FINANCIAL COUNSELING / Crown Financial Ministries uses a remarkably
effective small group study to train people to apply financial principals from
the Word of God to their everyday lives. In the ten-week Crown study, you
will learn what Scripture teaches about this important topic and how to
apply it to your life.

PRE-MARITAL COUNSELING / Pre-marital counseling is available
to engaged couples and is required for those seeking to be married at
RBC. Premarital counseling focuses on helping couples evaluate and
strengthen their relationships according to sound Biblical truths. Biblical
roles for marriage, communication, intimacy, sexuality and other topics are
addressed in an understandable and practical style.

Food Pantry Donations

Did you know that almost every day RBC gives food to needy and homeless people that walk in off the street?

The needy ministry needs your help. There are food donation bins in front of the kitchen (in Herring Hall) where you can drop off non-perishable food items. This is an ongoing, year-round ministry. Diapers, dry milk, cooking oil, toilet paper, deodorant and toothbrushes are also in high demand. If everyone occasionally donated a item or two, our pantry would remain fully stocked and available to those in need in our community.

Please consider picking up an extra item or two when you do your regular grocery shopping and drop them off when you are at church.

Conversations DVDs

We are excited to announce that the DVDs from this year's production of Conversations will be available (for all those who have pre-ordered and pre-paid) the weekend of June 28/29 in the Welcome Center. If you have not already ordered your copy, there will be additional copies available (first come, first serve) at the cost of $15 each. If you have any questions please contact Cheryl Ryan at cherylryan@restonbible.org or 703-478-9730.

Hinduism 101

Jun 22 2008 - 1:30pm

With a billion followers and 330 million gods, Hinduism is an eastern philosophy with a growing influence in the west through both new age teachings and immigrants from the Indian subcontinent. Join us on Sunday June 22 from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. in Room 111 (downstairs at the Main Campus) to understand the Hindu mindset and learn how to effectively share the Gospel with Hindus.

This event is sponsored by the RBC Multicultural Ministry.

Sermon Recorders Needed

We are in need of some volunteers to record and duplicate sermons at the Saturday evening service. If you regularly attend and would like to volunteer, please contact Oral Mizelle at o.mizelle@gmail.com. The sermon recording team is on a monthly rotation, so time commitment is usually one Saturday evening a month. Basic computer knowledge is required, and specific training is provided.
