TRAINING FAITHFUL MEN FALL SESSIONS - STARTING SEPTEMBER 3, 2008
Road 2 Emmaus (continues) w/Mike Minter, D.R. Carlson, and others | Wednesdays, 6:30 - 7:30 a.m. at the South Campus/Gap Room
Join us in the Gap Room as we continue throughout the gospels looking at the impact that Christ made on the individuals of that time, while we examine and share from our lives to see how He continues to impact lives today. Pastor Mike and a number of the men will look back, share what they have learned in journeys past and explore what they continue to learn through their ongoing walk with Jesus Christ. The format includes about 30-35 minutes of teaching followed by open discussion and real life application. Contact: Pat Mancuso at patmancuso@mac.com
Church History: 70 AD to Today w/Ray Shoaff | Wednesdays, 6:00 – 7:00 a.m. in Herring Hall at the main campus
As modern Christians we should know our heritage and learn from the mistakes and victories that have preceded us. As the old adage goes, “Those who don't know history are destined to repeat it.” There are historical events that we should mourn over and avoid, and those we should celebrate and emulate. The study will trace the beliefs and practices of Christianity from 70 AD to today. This is not a study of dates, names and places but of what people believed about Christ, and how their lives and conduct can instruct, warn and challenge us today.
